Winmau is proud to announce a sponsorship agreement with Disability Darts Wales (DDW), a partnership that will continue to grow disability darts in Wales, through increased tournament support and events throughout the country.
The deal will also see the organisation adopt the class-leading Blade 5 as their official tournament dartboard and Winmau as their brand of choice for all darts equipment.
The newly-formed organisation is responsible for upcoming Welsh ranking events and player selection within Wales, also working within the WDDA’s Compris format which is designed to further expand the game of darts to a wider range of disability players for maximum inclusivity.
Phil Smith, WDDA co-ordinator for DDW, said “To see how disability darts has grown over the last few years is astounding. It’s with great pleasure that we can announce the founding of the DDW and, with the backing of the World’s finest darts brand Winmau, we will no doubt be able to continue this amazing growth in Wales and provide a platform for all disability players in the country to thrive.”
Ian Flack, Winmau’s Sales and Marketing Director, said: “Wales has produced many of disability darts top players and we’re delighted to be backing Disability Darts Wales with the support to push disability darts to another level throughout the country.”
“The global growth of disability darts has been remarkable and we’re continuously looking for opportunities to cement that growth and ensure darts is accessible to as many players around the World as possible.”
