The Rankings Don’t Lie.

As we head over to the Netherlands next week for the very first visit of the PDC Betway Premier League, it’s quite obvious to see that the current World Rankings are very much spot on. The World’s top three players, Van Gerwen, Anderson and Taylor are already guaranteed a spot in the end of league Plays-Offs at London’s O2 Arena and it’s no surprise that the players battling for that fourth and final spot are those ranked 4th and 5th in the world, Adrian Lewis and Peter Wright respectively.

Adrian Lewiswright

So who’s going to make it to London. Lewis sits a point ahead of Wright as we stand at the moment, but ‘Snakebite’ Wright may have the advantage because he plays before Lewis and if he can get that all important win then the pressure will definitely be on Lewis who faces a repeat of the World final when he clashes with Champion Gary Anderson. There’s something on the last match of the evening too with Taylor and Van Gerwen not only battling for top spot but also achieving that will mean avoiding Anderson in the play-off semi finals.

The Dutch crowd are in for a feast of tungsten drama and they will no doubt be vocally at their very best !
