Hogan Falls Short as Turnbull Claims Easter Open

The 12th running of the Red Dragon Bucks Easter Darts Open took place on Good Friday at the Hazlemere Community Centre.

Over 80 players attended the competition, from many counties around the country including, London, Berkshire, Bucks, Norfolk, Hampshire and Hertfordshire to name a few.

After several hours of play, the Semifinals saw John Cockman take on Paul Hogan, Hogan had won the competition five previous times and it was ‘Crocodile Dundee’ who made it through to the final with a 4-0 win.

Andy Turnbull Claimed his First Bucks Easter Open

In the other Semi Final, Middlesex player Andy Turnbull took on Luke Smith (Northamptonshire). Turnbull took the win and made it to the final.

The Final saw Andy Turnbull start strongly and produce a great performance to win the final 5-2 claiming his first Bucks Easter Open title.

The Ladies Competition went to Suzanne Smith beating Sarah Mallott in the Final.

Andy Long, in his presentation, gave thanks to Hazlemere Community Centre for hosting. Paul Tubb and Sue Long, in help running an excellent competition, were also much appreciated.
