WOMEN AND DARTS!!

My name is Julie Lambie,I play for Lincolnshire County Darts Organisation and I'm also the Secretary of Lincolnshire Darts

I want to let you know about a petition that is taking the Darts World by Storm.

Luci Cunningham  (Sussex County Darts Player) approached me to help set up a petition to get LADIES WORLD PROFESSIONAL DARTS back on TV

So I Created a petition on line with Petition Buzz to highlight the issue and posted its first airing on the Ladies Darts Group I have created on Facebook.

Many friends looked through the schedules on the BBC and ESPN and on the BDO Programmes, NO IT WAS NOT HAPPENING. and To make it worse, The ladies didn't even get a mention in the weekends Highlights shown LATE on BBC.

We thought we might get a few hundred, but what ceased to amaze us all is that by 48hours, we have reached 1000 Signatures, and as of now 89 hours into the petition we have 2,181 !! with all the help of many friends in help to promote this all over.

There are ladies and gentlemen from all over the world who have signed, this REALLY HAS GONE GLOBAL.
Here's a list of the Countries it has reached

England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Auckland, Australia, Belgium, Czech Republic, USA, New York, Germany, Bucharest, Romania, Canada, Capetown, Utah, France, Switzerland, New Zealand, Texas, Denmark, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Gouda, Isle of Wight, Ukraine, Las Vegas, Malaysia, Michigan, Nashville, Norway, Ottawa, Pennsylvania, Cyprus, Poland, Russia, South Africa, South Carolina, Spain, Estonia, Thailand, Turkey, Vancouver, Vlissingen

What is really important is, that Professional Darts Players & BDO Officials, Men and Women, have signed this petition.
Here's just a few that have shown their support.

The 8 women that qualified for the Lakeside, have earned their right to have the same rights as the Men who are there. The too have travelled all over England and other continents to gain the points to qualify. Pay money to enter and travel, hold down jobs, have a family just like the men.

But they don't get any LIVE coverage. In this day and age, this is very sexist, and women have equal rights,

We are not looking to cause trouble with the BDO,  but we want to show the TV stations, that this is SEXIST, UNFAIR, DISCRIMINATING, AND TOTALLY WRONG.   It is about time the Ladies FINAL at least was shown live, as they deserve to be on air too.

We need more Media coverage, apart from Facebook, Twitter, Emailing, Local Radio Stations and Newspapers. Deta Hedman is being interview for the Sunday Telegraph, the Day before the Next BICC Matches in Jan.

Please put this letter and link on your Website to encourage more people to sign.  We need more Media coverage, apart from Facebook, Twitter, Emailing, Local Radio Stations and Newspapers.
